Andy Bell – Roxian Theatre – 10/25/2025

Andy Bell turned the Roxian Theatre into a full-blown dance party on Tuesday night, proving that the Erasure frontman still knows exactly how to make a crowd move. From the first pulse of the synths, the atmosphere was electric, almost as electric as Andy’s Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Bell, stylish as ever, commanded the stage with his trademark blend of charm and confidence. The setlist leaned heavily into Erasure’s beloved hits, with “Chorus” and “Oh L’Amour” igniting instant sing-alongs. Each song shimmered with new life, backed by tight production and visuals that paid homage to Erasure’s colorful legacy while feeling completely fresh. What was really enjoyable was his ability to weave in 7 songs from his latest solo release Ten Crowns.

The night’s most memorable moment came when Bell invited backup singer Chelsea King to step into Debbie Harry’s role join him for a the duet “Heart’s a Liar.” The pair’s voices blended beautifully, and their shared joy onstage was contagious — a reminder that Bell’s music continues to inspire collaboration and connection.

Another really interesting moment in the show was the Erasure classic “Breathe” without Andy. But it showed tremendous respect for his band as Jerry Fuentes and Chelsea King performed the song in a totally new way. They looked almost as if Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift were doing a duet but their voices blended so beautifully.

By the end of the night, the Roxian had transformed into one big glittering dance floor (to spite the pesky chairs in the way), filled with smiles, nostalgia, and the timeless pulse of synthpop. Andy Bell didn’t just perform; he reminded everyone that the spirit of Erasure still beats strong — joyful, sincere, and impossible to resist.
