Bush with Theory of a Deadman and Stars in Stereo at Stage AE on 2/17/2015
– In the 5 years since Bush reformed in 2010 they have released two new albums and did a few Tours. On their most recent tour which hit Pittsburgh’s Stage AE on 2/17/2015 Gavin Rossdale and company left it all on the stage with an energetic set that consisted of all the old classics plus a healthy dose of material from the newer albums.
Starting of the evening was Stars In Stereo. Despite playing in Pittsburgh numerous times in the past, this is the first time I got to see them live, and they did not disappoint. They played a solid set of material and got the festivities off to a great start.
Up next was Canadian band Theory of a Deadman playing their brand of post-grunge hard rock reminiscent of Social Distortion. Lead Singer/guitarist Tyler Connolly energized the crowd and the band performed a rocking set.
Bush came out at approximately 9:40 and hit the stage running with “Insect Kin” followed by “Everything Zen”. From the first notes it was apparent that Bush would deliver an electric performance that would keep the crowd rocking all night.
This tour has several stops left and should not be missed.
