In 2006 Blackmore’s Night released Winter Carols which was the band’s sixth studio album and first holiday offering. The collection included many traditional carols in the band’s signature Renaissance style. The album features such standards as “We Three Kings”, “I Saw Three Ships”, “Oh Christmas Tree” and many more. The sound of the album is very consistent with the band’s other releases. In 2017 Minstrel Hall Music will re-release Winter Carols in a special 2-disc edition featuring all the original tracks plus five live tracks recorded at Minstrel Hall as well as four versions of their 2013 single “Christmas Eve”.
