Album Review: Motorhead’s World Is Ours Vol 1 Everything Further Than Everyplace Else

Motorhead is a band that I didn’t fully comprehend until some time in the 1990’s. Not that they changed, it was my tastes that came around to them. That is what makes Motorhead so great. Their style isn’t going to change to win a new fan. There are a few live, official Motorhead DVD’s on the market and several of them are fairly recent. So when Motorhead released their latest World Is Ours Vol 1 Everything Further Than Everyplace Else, it didn’t seem that unique to me.  After watching this though I have to say it is a “must own”.  Banger Files (Metal Evolution, Metal: A Headbanger’s Journey, Flight 666, etc) did this video and it captures the band like none I have seen before it.  The main concert is done in black and white.  In this digital age, that seemed odd but it really works.  The show is exactly what you’d expect if you are a fan and would make a great primer for a new fan.  The bonus material is really first-rate.  There are at least 30 minutes of interviews, two promo videos, an electronic press kit and best of all two live performances. The live performances (while not full shows) feature former Hanoi Rocks front-man Michael Monroe and also the first lady of metal, Doro Pesch.
