Sick of Sarah at the Hard Rock Cafe
– Sick of Sarah, the Minneapolis based rock band rolled into the Pittsburgh’s Hard Rock Cafe for an evening of pop-punk rock. The band recently went through some lineup changes, but they still played a tight show full of solid musicianship. Singer Abisha Uhl has a great voice as well as a lot of emotion in her performance. The rest of the band consisting of Jessica Forsythe on drums and newcomers Ari Applewhite and Jack Swagger on guitar and A.J. Stone on bass rounded out the sound with compelling vocal harmonies and catchy hooks that make up Sick of Sarah’s sound. The set moved quickly with highlights being “Contagious,” “Rooftops” and a great cover of Poe’s “Angry Johnny.” The band is out in support of their newest release Anthem, which can be purchased here. Sick of Sarah is also working with the Torn Labels Project on this tour which is an anti-hate and anti-bullying organization. Check out pics from the show below.
