– Motionless in White and The Devil Wears Prada stopped at Pittsburgh’s Stage AE for an evening of intense music and stage theatrics.
Starting of the evening was Upon a Burning Body. Vocalist Danny Leal and company always deliver and Friday’s performance was no exception. Starting with the Red Razor Wrists and finishing up with Turn Down for What, the audience witnessed some fine metal and rewarded the band with endless waves of crowd surfers.
Up next was The Word Alive who also gave a solid performance and continued to warm up the crowd.
The Devil Wears Prada hit the stage next with a ferocity that is hard to describe. Vocalist Mike Hranica is a in constant motion as he belts out song after song in a 15 song set that included the recent Space EP in its entirety. The accompanying space themed visuals project on the screen really added to the experience of the songs. The band played almost entirely non-stop and delivered and intense emotional performance that was one of the highlights of the night.
Closing out the show was Motionless in White. The band took the Halloween themed stage donning horror masks and burst right into the song “Death March.” The show was filled with a lot of energy, and theatrics including giant pumpkin headed monster attacking a female character on stage. The theatrics were reminiscent of Alice Cooper and Marilyn Manson who are obvious influences. Chris Motionless is a charismatic singer backed by a talented band who all together kept the audience engaged and entertained. Check out the photos below.
