DVD Review – The Rolling Stones Olé Olé Olé!: A Trip Across Latin America


Olé Olé Olé!: A Trip Across Latin America is the latest DVD/Blu-ray from the ageless Rolling Stones and is the perfect companion to their previous release, Havana Moon.  The documentary from Paul Dugdale chronicles the band’s 2016 tour through Latin American which culminating in a huge free show in Havana, Cuba.  The film offers a look behind the curtain and offers a glimpse into what goes into touring with one of the biggest names in rock and roll history.  Interviews include each of the four members of the band, managers, and those around the band give a feel for the pressures and the logistics involved.  You journey with the band through Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Peru and along each step of the way get a feel for the local cultures and the band’s connections to the area.  In parallel you see the behind the scenes wrangling that was necessary to coordinate the Havana show.  You learn how President Obama and the Pope of all people had an impact on the show.  In addition to the documentary you are treated to 50 minutes of live performances shot during the tour.  Olé Olé Olé!: A Trip Across Latin America will be released May 26th from Eagle Rock Entertainment.
