Day of the Gusano is a 90 minute live concert event mixed with a documentary on Slipknot’s long-awaited first trip to Mexico City in 2015. Gusano being Spanish for Maggot. A day of the maggots it was indeed. Directed by the band’s own M. Shawn Crahan (Clown) the film includes members of the band enjoying Mexico and talking about what bringing Knotfest to Mexico meant to them. We also get a glimpse of the fans’ dedication to the band through interviews with some of the most die-hard fans in the world. The live footage is what you would exect from the Slipknot…100% full adrenaline. So highlights include Corey meeting a fan would had battled cancer and got encouragement from Slipknot’s music, “Psychosocial” live and much, much more.
