In Episode 460 of the Iron City Rocks Podcast we welcome The Fabulous Thunderbird’s Kim Wilson. Kim founded the Fabulous Thunderbirds over 45 years ago. Kim talks with us about his latest, solo release Take Me Back: The Bigtone Sessions. The album was released in 2020 but was just released on vinyl in 2021. We dig into his harmonica influences, playing style and gear, the recording process and his plans for playing live going forward.
We are also joined by Buffalo Music Hall of Fame member Patti Parks. Patti will release Whole Nother World later this month. Patti talks about how she came to be a blues singer and the experience of putting the album together.
