– Rob Zombie first burst into the music scene in 1992 in the band White Zombie, with their hit song “Thunder Kiss ’65,” and he has not looked back since. Rob Zombie brought his latest tour to Stage AE and rocked the socks off of everyone in attendance.
After an odd opening act consisting of Rob Zombie drummer Ginger Fish spinning some records for a half an hour, and a quick changeover to a minimalist stage consisting of giant portraits of classic horror creatures, Rob Zombie and his band stormed onto the stage with the song “Teenage Nosferatu Pussy.” Guitarist John 5, bassist Piggy D. and drummer Ginger Fish were as tight as can be as they cranked out all of Rob Zombie’s greatest hits, as well as a few covers that got zombiefied.
The crowd had a great time singing along and dancing their favorites, especially the aforementioned “Thunder Kiss’65,” which featured a great extended guitar solo by John 5. Zombie closed the set with some classic covers including “Blitzkrieg Bop,” School’s Out,” and “We’re and American Band,” before finishing off the evening with “Dragula”
